Hand tools and electrical tools, fasteners, fixings and fittings, builders’ supplies and home improvement items: Over 2,800 exhibitors from over 55 countries will be showing off their products at the Cologne International Hardware Fair from 1st to 4th March 2020. And once again nexmart will be there (Passage Hall 10 Hall 11 | Stand A002). At the fair, the eBusiness specialist will be demonstrating how manufacturers and retailers can use digital technologies to make their processes more effective and efficient, improve their customer approach and achieve measurable increases in sales revenues.
Alexander Haim, Sales & Marketing Director at nexmart, says: “Companies in the B2C segment have been working for years on ways of offering their customers the perfect experience throughout the customer journey. And these days people expect from business the levels of service that are now commonplace in a non-business context, including very similar sectors with lots of well-established players. We think there is huge potential here for optimising the way companies approach customers – which will generate more growth. We’ve been helping manufacturers and retailers to exploit this potential for more than 18 years now.”
At the Cologne International Hardware Fair, nexmart is using an illuminated “route plan” of a typical customer journey to visualise what this could look like in practice. The plan clearly shows the various routes the customer journey might take, emphasising the importance of having a consistent company presence. The model can also be used to work out what manufacturers and retailers need to do to persuade customers to choose their offer in a highly competitive environment, complete the purchase, and to ensure order processing is as straightforward as possible.
One of many solutions nexmart offers is its sales App, which is being demonstrated at Cologne in its latest version 4.0: At the fair, eBusiness managers at nexmart will be using the app’s latest features themselves at meetings to provide visitors with targeted advice on solutions and current campaigns, explain digital processes clearly or even complete initial quotations. So they are actually using the software in practice, not just giving a live demo. There couldn’t be a better way of showing the benefits of the product.
Alexander Haim: “There is a lot of hype around digitalization at the moment. But it would be a serious mistake to think that means it will soon be irrelevant. We’ve observed for a long time now that all industries across the world are experiencing a digital transformation. And the same applies to the hardware sector. Unless you deal with it now and get on the right track you’ll wake up tomorrow in a business world where your in-house processes just can’t deliver on your critical success factors.
Alexander Haim and his colleagues would be delighted to discuss digitalization in the B2B context and the services nexmart can provide at a face-to-face meeting at the Cologne International Hardware Fair. Make an appointment!
